Spring Quarter 2024

The Pierce College Writing Center will be available for both on-campus and online appointment bookings from Monday, April 1st through Thursday, June 13th.  Online, we will be available for both real-time, "live, online" appointments and "written comments only" (paper upload and tutor-commented) appointments.

In person, we will be available five days per week at each campus, as follows:

• Puyallup campus: M-Th 9:30am-4pm, Fri 9:30am-1pm
  
• Steilacoom campus: M-Th 9:30am-4pm, Fri 9:30am-1pm
  

You can book both online and on-campus appointments by registering (if you haven't previously) and logging into this booking system. Appointments can be made up to 10 minutes in advance of the appointment. You can also upload your draft to the appointment window, if you have one, so that the tutor will have it available in case they have the time to read it before the appointment. It is helpful if you also upload the assignment prompt (instructions) from your instructor.

When you make an online appointment, you will see a red button to Start or join online consultation. At the appointment time, return to the appointment window and click that button and it will take you to the online platform, where you will have the options of video, audio, text chat, and uploading your paper. The tutor should be there already, but if not, please wait five minutes for them to arrive on the platform as well.

To get started, register for an account and create an account using your preferred email address. You may want to use your Pierce College email address (first name initial + last name + last four digits of your student number + @smail.pcd.edu). You will need your ctcLink student ID number and you will need to create a password. Please write down or remember your password. (If you forget your password, you can change it. The system will send an email to your student email address with a link to enable you to do this.)
